God's free sunlight!

Light in a bottle - shackIn the words of Alfredo Moser, the Brazilian mechanic who invented the plastic bottle skylight for homes without electricity:  ” God gave the sun to everyone, and light is for everyone. It’s a divine light.”

In 2002, Alfredo had a light-bulb moment and came up with a way of illuminating his house during the day without electricity. He used nothing more than plastic bottles filled with water and a tiny bit of bleach suspended through a hole in his roof. His invention is spreading sunlight into the dark interiors of the homes of millions of poor people throughout the world.
